On the 11th
hour, of the 11th of November 1918, the guns of World War I fell silent as
the major hostilities of were formally ended. Among those who sacrificed
their lives were more than 60,000 soldiers from Australia. On this
significant anniversary, The Perth Mint honours all Australians who fought
on the bloody battlefields of World War I with this numismatic tribute
portraying a sombre image of respect.
